I owned this tv for about three years and it worked perfectly. Then one night while watching it the tv popped and fire and smoke came out from the back. It just shorted out.

Vizio not worth the $$ – A. Turner –
I could not resist buying an 32-inch LCD Flat-Panel for 0 on sale. However, for some reason on a music channel the sound would go in and out. Before it went out, it would make a clicking noise. A Vizio repairman came and replaced the motherboard. This did not correct the problem. Instead, a different problem emerged. In addition to the old sound problem, now when the TV turns on, it is automatically muted.??? Have tried to get back in touch with Vizio customer service but have been given the run around. No one in the company seems to be able to connect us to the right customer service dept and then when we called the dept, no one returned the message we left. Trust me it’s not worth the hassle. Just pay the extra 0 for a better brand and be able to sit down and enjoy your TV in peace.

UPDATE:

When I first bought this TV it turned off and on constantly – after swapping out the smart power strip to which it was attached, the problem stopped. In its new state, this TV is really awesome – looks good, sounds good. My girlfriend, who can see colors better than me, thinks the picture quality is quite good.

Bought this TV week ago off Amazon. It has turned itself off and on at least a dozen times now. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I don’t understand why Samsung can’t make a TV that stays on when it is turned on. In case you’re wondering – The power cord is snugly plugged in to the back of the TV, and the TV turned itself off even with the batteries out of the remote. It seems to be mostly be happening when the attached DVD player turns on.

I did a lot of research before buying my Samsung LN32C450 32-Inch LCD HDTV. Samsung is clearly top-ranked in the LCD TV market. My new TV met my high expectations, and so did the seller’s service … delivery time was excellent and exactly as promised. Hook-ups to cable, satellite receiver, and DVD player were easy. Picture and sound are outstanding. Overall, A+++ for both product and service.

Cheap Samsung LNS3251D 32-Inch LCD HDTV LNS3251D

We bought this TV back in 2006 and it still looks great. It doesn’t do 1080p, but at least it does 1080i. We don’t have a blueray player and we actually got rid of HD cable service because it was so expensive (waiting for FiOS to hit our area) so we just have cheap cable and a rabbit Ear antenna, but it picks up HD signals over the air and the look great. We connect a laptop up to the TV to watch a lot of videos on HULU and they all look awesome, just as good as when we had an HD box and were DVRing the shows, except now we don’t have to set the schedule.

I don’t think this model is available anymore, i’m sure Samsung has a comparible model now.

Samsungs seem to be a bit more expensive but to this day still look better than most of the other TVs out there. I don’t forsee us upgrading our TV for quite a while as this TV has all the connections we’d need and is big enough for our living room.

My friend just bought a very similar 22″ and another friend just bought a similar 42″ all from Samsung and they love them.
